People are wonderful: curious, creative, motivated, and connected from the first day of life. Sometimes circumstances beyond our control deplete that life giving energy, leaving us feeling hopeless or overwhelmed. In our work together, we will lead with your strengths, helping you to sort out what is working, what needs to change, and creating a path forward that helps you to feel grounded, confident, and free to be your whole self. My guiding philosophy is rooted in the belief that development profoundly impacts how we function and form relationships with others and with ourselves. This perspective informs my approach, which is practical, relational, and trauma-informed.

I work with both adolescents and adults who are beginning therapy amidst a life transition, grief/loss, adjustment to parenthood, parenting challenges, school challenges, anxiety, loneliness, depression or trauma. I have extensive experience supporting caregivers and parents of children with special needs, additional training in infant & early childhood mental health, and am a trained facilitator of Circle of Security Parenting. Strong families can come in many different configurations, and I welcome the opportunity to work with single and LGBTQ+ caregivers. Above all, I strive to be a caring and supportive presence, recognizing that the therapeutic relationship itself is central to healing. By fostering trust, collaboration, and empathy, I help individuals navigate challenges while building pathways toward healthier relationships and more fulfilling lives.

As a Licensed Graduate Social Worker with an MSW from the University of St. Thomas (2025), I also bring 20+ years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, with a Masters in Communication Disorders from Clarion University (Pennsylvania) and a Bachelor of Science in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota. My clinical background includes work with people across the lifespan. I currently see clients ages 14 or older and work under the supervision of Joel Grostephan, LICSW.

When away from work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, four kids, ages 11-25, gardening as weather permits and visiting new places!
